 well i just joined a band and we have a ska drummer... an industrial kid "our vocalist" uh... and an industrial keybored guy. me... the metal and jazz guitarist. and this one girl who can sing really pretty things. also this one dude who trys to sound like a member of msi. what the hell is this going to sound like together? well were jamming for the first time tommorow.

Anyway.... how'd the random musicians thing go? I know I've had a terrible time with the "heavy metal" musicians before because they don't know shit about theory and just want to play crappy drop tuned bass melodies that inevitably include C (or D, whichever they've tuned to) about 8 damned times in a single measure. Ska drummers are alright, but they play too simply and don't throw in enough bass kick workings. As far as jazz/metal guitarist, you're fscking set for leads. They're the best kind. I would imagine your band sounds/will sound like decent metal with somebody that'll either try to overtake the rest of the band with their vocals and a really weak drum track, or you'll sound like INJA (which is a damned good band because the vocals aren't the ENTIRE DAMNED SONG, but part of it, and a damned good part of it).
