You talking about that utterly grey walking turd from Doom 3?

IT'S NOT PINK DAMMIT

That doesn't matter! They were originaly called pinky demons, when they got remade in Doom 3 they lost most of there colorfulness. But they're still pinky demons.

See, now, that's what I told her, but she said no way. And I'm all like, "nuh-uh, oh no you didn't." And then the bitch slapped me. I mean, really.

I don't remember much of Doom III except waking up every once in a while from a nap and watching Guz play, and being pissed off at that damn chainsaw noise.  >:(
That's the problem with heroes, really. Their only purpose in life is to thwart others. They make no plans, develop no strategies. They react instead of act. Without villains, heroes would stagnate. Without heroes, villains would be running the world. Heroes have morals. Villains have work ethic.

hmm... not seen the trailer yet but I gotta admit I'm worried. I don't remember there being a tremendous amount of dialogue in Doom...

Also - if this is true where they're taken the story, looked at it and then simply just thrown it away for their own I just don't know how good a movie it'll be. Anyone who's played Doom 2 will remember how, despite the lack of dialogue, charachters or ineed any standard storytelling techniques, the levels flowed wonderfully and you could use your imagination (you know, that thing we used to have and use before stories became spoon-fed activities in pointlessness /rant) to weave an intricate tale of Hell and Demons.

Also - you think they'll have something like that wonderful scene where Sarge is meant to look over the edge and realise the whole base is suspended over hell? I love that picture ^_^

EDIT: *sharp intake of breath* ooh dear. I have more than a few niggles with this one. The FPS view... whilst I'll grant it's a good idea, I was playing Turok once on the N64 (with awful controls) and it made me feel ill... I worry that if they've overdone this (and if they do it anything like a real FPS gamer plays that won't be too hard) then audience are gonna leave being sick.

And... call this unfair if you want... but the impression I get is they recorded someone playing the game then just stuck in movie (*cough*FMV*cough*) sequences... didn't we computer people do that like 10 years ago when we first found CDROM's?
