weapon of choice?

hi
just wondering what you guys all use to make your music and stuff (the forumites), do you use apparatus or software?
i dont have any electrical instruments so i have to use software to make all my amaturish music

i use fruityloops (not the breakfast cerial... )

just reading then...i have a saw...me being a "military freak
 and joining the United States Marine Corps when im older thought of a machine gun, and started laughing...but a normal saw...i guess you could make music with it...scratchy music mbut music nonetheless

I used Fruity Loops to construct drum rhythms and lengthy songs with crazy changes.. you just never hear em.

I have a Roland Juno-D synth keyboard and a CB start 5 piece kit, which is never used for recording but i thot i'd throw it in there :)

- Goldwave

Recording Gear:
- Johnson J-station
- BC Rich Warlock

what would you say is the best program for 100% software generated music studio

also, whats a good program for creating through sheet music style notation?

There are two big ones for sheet music: Finale and Sibelius.  Both are costly, but I'm sure you can find 'em online for free.

For software...  Fruity Loops is my guess.

FL Studio for stuff my key/synth combo cant do.  otherwise...

Custom-built Game/Studio PC w/ 250GB disk space, 6GB RAM, 2 25in CRT Monitors... etc.
Roland M-12E 12 channels mixer
Kurzweil PC2X (part my dads, part mine)
6 speaker surround sound syatem (cant remeber specifics)
2 subwoofers
Casio WK3500 (fast play=no weighted keys)
1 Akai S6000 hardware sampler
1 Sony MDR V900 Ear-cup Headphones      
Sony MDR V900 studio headphones for late-night work.

yeah, thats my setup.  probably a few things im forgetting, but otherwise it works swell

this is maybe the 3rd or 4th time I've listed all my shit on this forum lol.

Basses:

Steinberger Spirit XT-5 (5 string, headless - sweet)

Fender acoustic bass (its model escapes me but they only make 2 types)

Guitars:

Ibanez Roadstar II 1984 (OOP) (great for lead but not chunky stuff)

Squire Stagemaster - 7 not actually mine but it lives in my house. Its not bad sound for a squire but its a beast of a weight.

Some sort of Columbus acoustic guitar. Recently fixed the bridge on it and its now nice to play. I do a lot of composing on this guitar.

Some sort of 12-string acoustic. I never touch this. It scares me. Also its missing about 4 strings.

I have a Remo 5 piece kit lying around with sabian cymbols. I cant drum so this is only used when I can kidnap drummers.

When recording (which I only ever do to get a rough idea of how a song sounds) I just use cakewalk pro audio 9 on the worst PC ever. Schnoogins.
