Album Purchasing- Help?
« on: July 05, 2005, 09:56:34 am »
Well, I'm a newbie, but that's not the point. I'm asking a question:

Ok, I don't know about most of you, but I am from America. Now, I have been searching stores for "Deus Ex Machinae." But, I cannot find it :(. Would someone mind informing me if it's in stores or not? Or is the only way of buying the cd off of the online store? I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance. (p.s. Rock on! :D)

Online shop is the way to go.

I don't know if MbD has gotten it out to any stores.

Last time I checked € and $ had an 1:1 ratio. But that was before the Iraq war, an economy crisis, an oil crisis, the EU crisis and several other events. It's still a good rule of thumb though.

I purchased directly from mbd and you can select your currency and it converts it accordingly when you check out, making it very easy to see what youre going to pay.

Remember, when purchasing from foreign territories its not always a direct currency conversion anyway, due to price marks in that territory. If a stereo typically sells for 200 USD in america, it may only sell for the equivilent of 140 USD in Canada, for a random example. This is usually only true with physical merchandise sold in mass market though and not specifically internet orders, but its safer to go with MBD USD pricing since thats exactly what you'll be paying with United States Dollars (to which, eludes me at the moment, but its there anywho).

You'll really see this to hold true when the Xbox 360 hits and other mass-market products, though I'm not sure if Dues Ex Machinae is sold on a currency conversion basis or a price market basis. But just for fun, if you're bored, when the prices on xbox 360 hit get the local market prices and convert them. You'll see subtle differences, since I know that product in specific is price market based to be competetive with other prices in their respective markets.

Anywho, long post made short: Theres a USD pulldown menu, select it, it'll show you the proper american currency price at checkout. And yes, you'll need to order from Music By Design or another internet website that carries it, but your best bet by far is ordering directly from Music By Design.

Marines I see as two breeds, Rottweilers or Dobermans, because Marines come in two varieties, big and mean, or skinny and mean. They're aggressive on the attack and tenacious on defense. They've got really short hair and they always go for the throat

British pounds, IIRC. Which has a pound-to-dollar ratio of roughly 2:1 last I checked.

Well, this thread is rather useless now isn't it?

But this makes me wonder, isn't there quite a stock of unsold stuff at MbD?
