ok IDEA :

Masu bandmembers create sort of support group.

The assign missions to ppl, like post on forums their name and site, and when you are succesful you get points, and at this many points, you get a goodie =]

Word of mouth is invaluable.

No amount of advertising can pay for the simple FREE word of mouth and it means much more than any silly advert or pimping from the label or the band.

If you want to help spread the word... place the band url in your forum signatures, bring it up in conversation with your friends, play your mates the CD, point them to the website of MS.

This is easy, and FREE but few think to do it...

There's other ways ofcourse... Own a website? join the MbD sceme and either earn money or free CD's by linking us or don't like that idea then link MS.

Fans really are the most important part in all this.

Might try and hawk Machinae around Warcraft III channels tonight.

It's a media player internet feed radio called WoW Radio (wcradio).

The shows in question are Blue Plz (and Warcraft discussion and satire show with music in between) and the Ironforge Metal show. We got main presenter, TotalBiscuit, into them and I've advertised Machinae's and MbD's links on their forums ;) (somebody was asking where they could get more Machinae from. Yay)

Beyond that, I guess you could always burn some CDs of the free songs or make up some flyers advertising the site for your friends, or to leave lying around at parties, school, or other social gatherings... :P

Interesting idea. Buy one of those things of dirt-cheap CDs (you know, without casing. Think you can find them at around £5 for 50 or something), burn Machinae Supremacy on all of them, and simply leave them lying around at parties, schools, etc. As in walk into a room, drop off a CD and leave again. Leave them in random places for people to find "by chance". Sure, most of the CDs will be thrown away, lost, destroyed or used as a frisbee, but some might survive, and for each surviving CD, you've made a new fan...

Or a projectile

You could take the anti-social bitch approach.

Step 1: Many speakers & good amps
Step 2: Shove the volume up as far as it goes.
Step 3: Machinae-only playlist.
Step 4: Begin.
I do not agree with that statemnt. I have found a few faults in it, let me list them in the following list:
Fault 1: You do not have power to pwoer the amps
Fault 2: Shoving the volume up as far as it goes is almost a no no (clipping), especially as they generate soo much heat and might blow
The rest of it is all up to scratch.

Yeah, probably a bad idea, would have to pre-test it...and wait till this heatwave clears off (30 degrees, far too hot)

Once again another chance for promoting Machinae Supremacy around my local area has arisen in the form of a local gig. And once again, the Machinae t-shirt will be paraded around on my torso...I should have probably tried to get one of the bands to cover Hero :P
