Had this idea as soon as I listened  to the Remastered version of Redeemer.
The new versions of the tracks are crystal-clear,a fact which is somewhat disturbing. All of the instruments are clear in hearing and have a really nice ring to them.
But.....
The old, original tracks are not as clear-sounding as the new ones, but they are full of soul.
I go for the originals. They are full of soul. The Remastered versions sound....mechanical.
Love&Peace!

As for this new Ultimate Question (this style is how these shall be referred to from now on. -Mod rules), I don't have an answer. I agree with most of what you said, but choosing between the rawness of the RUE and the remastering of the RRE is too difficult a choice. But being an Ultimate Question an answer must be made.

I'll get back to you...

I'm guessing this question is gunna be mostly redundant, everyone will pick RUE.

However, I'm not gunna pick either, they're both awesome in their own ways.

Eh, I hate this question but I'm going to answer it. Both.

Some of the songs on the RE sound MUCH better than on the UE. Likewise, some of the songs on UE (like Elite) sound better on that.

The UE also has Fury (which I prefer on UE than on the site release, actually), Kaori, and Empire which are all fantastic tracks.

Frankly, they both rock and I'm glad I own them both. When I pop in a CD to listen to Redeemer I normally pop in RE to be honest because some of the tracks sound better and the ones that I prefer on UE arn't that big a difference (again, Elite sounds great either way). Then I sometimes pop in UE and listen to Fury, Kaori, Prelude & Empire.

They both rock, they both have kick-ass art, I'm glad I own them both. I'm glad they both exist. I wouldn't change squat about them, I have both discs and love them both.

It's unfair if you listened to the UE first and then to RE. There are just a few parts where you go "OMG what have they done to the song!!1" you wouldn't notice otherwise. Like the Oki Kuma intro. As said before, some songs on the RE sound better.

You aren't supposed to listen to them in any particular order, but UE, then RE is the way most people here have listened to it.

Well, his point apparently was not that it is unfair to listen to them in that order, but that it is unfair to draw conclusions about the quality of two albums when you have listened to one already for a long time when you compare them.

I like the flow of UE better than that of RE.
