ARRRRR
right ye be!
Rhapsody also has a video-game music feel to it if you're interested, and if you search these forums carefully enough you'll find links to kind of "hidden" machinae supremacy music -and- other awesome bands.

I think KB2k1 refers to Rhapsody, who really don't sound anything gamelike at all. (Except you would make a game with their music in it.)

Symphonic power metal sounds like video game music? I must be playing the wrong games o.0

Would be funny. You could make a game out of the story maybe, but thats the only thing that compares to gaming in the music of Rhapsody ^^

first time I heard Rhapsody was in MIDI version, maybe that's why I can't shake the feeling it's from a video games.

Ah okay. That can be a good reason, because when you hear only the melodies without the correct instruments or lyrics it could sound like a more or less happy adventure ^^

The only power metal I know of that could sound anything remotely like masu is /one/ album from Helloween that was about games. However, I thought the album was awful and didn't really care for the rest of their music either. I guess I'm spoiled by Blind Guardian and Sonata Arctica when it comes to power metal.

Eh, I don't really like Sonata Arctica or Helloween.

Blind Guardian are pretty great, though.

I think Sonata Arctica's "Weballergy" is about a guy who spends his life on the int4rw3b. Or I'm overinterpreting something.

Sidology 2? I believe you sir have entered the third dimension. If you somehow manage to escape with the enigmatic, magical, and ever so elusive Sidology Episode 2, please immediately contain it inside one of those things the ghostbusters use to capture those ghastly spectres and then shove that into a flamingo. There it shall be safe until we can find a way to encode it to an ogg or an mp3.

You mean sidology episode 1 and 3. :)
