Hehee. Lucky Arvid, eh?  ;D That was fun story! What a good way to impersonate your partner. I just wonder one thing... If the ship have been BIG (let's say about 100 sea-men) and you happen to sit on the box and others just happen to have urge on your shift then you would do it 99 times (or more if someone wanted re-run). That would make 99 x 22 ml of liquids = 2178 ml. Thats 2,178 litres of liquids. So I really hope that Arvid was not so popular guy...Or that ship was not so big. Or shifts were not so long.
He might get drown, else.
Now I understand Arvid really well!

Ok.... here goes...
The "Det är Arvids tur att sitta i lådan" expression is just a stupid thing that a friend of mine likes to say in appropriate situations. *hmmm*

Long time ago when sailors went to sea *duh... what else would they do* there where no women to put their sausages in. *and I guess that not all sailors were gay*.

To solve this problem they brought with them a box. This box had a hole in it. And sure.. It's fun to put your sausage in the hole of a box... but it's even funnier when someone sits inside the box. So everybody took turns sitting in the box eating sausage.   *why the hell am I writing this*

So much for the history lesson... Anyway. The expression "It's Arvid's turn to sit in the box" just sounds funny, I think.
:D :D :D :D :D :D
Haha, poor sailors.....They didn't have any lack of imagination and demonstrably they had the power to act when "problem" came up, that's a good thing. They took what they had in hand ::) ;) :D

It's like Pandora's Box, only the Pandora in the other dimension is called Arvid, and he's a norwegian fisherman with a long gray beard and a patch over his left eye.
