Why is the older stuff from Nightwish better?
Being a very subjective topic that is difficult to describe, I'll still try anyway. I felt that Tarja's singing on some of the songs didn't seem like she was performing as well as past songs. I also did not like Marco singing in the songs with the exception of Wish I Had an Angel. The added orchestral stuff also seemed a little too much compared to the past albums, reminding me slightly of Rhapsody's latest album where they went orchestra crazy. Still a good album though. Many people seem to think Century Child or Wishmaster is where they started going downhill but I guess since I started listening after the first four were released they all seem equal to me.

If anyone has the orginal Nightwish demo featuring the song "Nightwish" I'd be very happy to have a rip of it in flac. I just got around to buying the discography and its the only song I'm missing. :|

some song you've never heard of by some band you've never heard of unless you're into Japanese psychedelia and even then you might not have heard of it

are we talking classic emo, which is actually quite good, or the misinterpreted Scene Emo, which makes me want to sacrifice my manhood to spite their blatant disregard for the laws of rock star sex?

Rites of Spring, Sunny Day Real Estate, and such?

I don't like it.

Well you sure showed him!

Your declaration has fundamentally altered the tastes of the world, both past and present, and what was once considered "really quite good" is now "unlikeable."
