ahhh... muppis is the wise one as with many game developers. Just don't leave it too long or people will start looking elsewhere. Over hype will start to set in once people start to become desperate. Rumors start to spread to say how great this product will be. Then once this finishes happeningn there are multiple paths the developer can go down:
 - To continue to develop the product until finished, ignore the hype.
 - To implement the hyped extras into the game. Causing more hype about extra features and cuasing develpoment to take even longer. Can cause the result piece of work to become vaporware.
 - To release the product in a preproduction state - allows the developers to continue releasing patches and correcting their mistakes. This methods intially generates capital but the end users may not be happy.
