Sampled some pendulum, added some drums, blah blah blah, here it is. Will record vocals sometime.

Wow, very heavy while retaining a nice melody all throughout. ^^

Anyway, I've got another one...I've recently launched my own site, so now I have a place to put things in ^^ Here's a direct link to my first MIDI EP:

The first and second tracks have been posted here before; My direct MIDI cover of Sidstyler and Hero. But the last track is one I never really posted, called "Outbreak". It's one of my greatest compositions with just 10 channels.  :D

The only thing I'm lacking is some decent drum samples/loops.

What software are you using, and are you using VSTs or a full drum sample?

FL Studio (that's right, I know it's lame) and some basic drum samples I downloaded god knows where from. Do you know any good drum VST?

I tend to use FL Studio on occasion too. Much prefer Cubase though.

I've never actually had the opportunity to play with guitars on FL though. Do you use the guitar controllers that are in FL, or are those samples as well?

Those are samples filtered through NI GuitarRig 2. The guitar VSTi in FL sucks, the sound is too raw and simple.

I use EZdrummer: Drumkit from hell on most Metal songs I make, a proof that DFH is win is that Meshuggah use it all the way on their album Catch 33.
If there is to be something ambient or so my favourite so far is Stormdrum.

Nah, just a few second guitar sample, which I sliced anyway. The song which I got the sample from was a drum'n'bass one, so it wouldn't be necessary to add more drums to that, me thinks. Sampling isn't exactly stealing, if you know what I mean. Using four seconds of an 8 minutes long track helped me to get a melody without having to buy an electric guitar, which I cannot afford anyway.

so what part of that song was actually your own work? :P

Drums, synth, effects. Plus the whole rhythm/tempo change, sidechaining, stuff like that. It's not like I stole someones song, added some shit and called it mine, but who cares. It was fun anyway.

Jeez, do you people hate MIDI or something? >_>

Anyway, something that hopefully would interest anyone...

That's my remix of a track called "On To Grasstown" from, probably the greatest 8-bit freeware game EVER MADE, Dokutsu Monogatari, or otherwise known as Cave Story.

At the risk of repeating myself, what drums do you use for that? and i must say your guitar really pulls through for each and every one of your songs, great job. Theyre good set songs but the guitar finishes the equation.

Why thank you very much! I use the ezdrummer drumkit from hell. It wins.
