When I started this song I had no idea how it was supposed to sound, now it is done and it took me the whole weekend.

Victorious spawn of desolation:

There is SID in it  ::).

Forced myself to track something with the headphones on my head (including recording guitars...).

Meshuggah's Chaosphere is, of course, the main inspiration for this (unfinished) track.

Cool as hell, Chaosphere is awsome.

http://www.mediafire.com/?8cbbxxnx9xh - my first ever attempt at electronic music, and probably the first ever attempt to make a full track by myself.

I'm at the beginning stages of synth and computer style music making. And I created a myspace to get some feedback and it hasn't been very productive, no one's seeing it hardly. So I thought I'd post here to see if anyone would take a listen and give me some good critique. Thanks! Band site: http://www.myspace.com/powertoolslullabyes

Ok, I lied. I listened to the songs just a few minutes ago.

Very soothing, I like it. Windmill made me even more tired than I already was, which I guess really helps with the title "Powertools & Lullabyes". Also brought back fond memories.

"What I felt was turned, in the tempest forged to hate. My soul I disconnected, and called out the Lightbringer to the gate."

Eh...I don't have any recording equipment, any special program or whatever, but I do make MIDI (and I hope to move on to something else someday)

In fact, I just finished making a direct cover of Sidstyler in MIDI...it's probably the first MIDI of Sidstyler to exist on the net  :D

Link:
http://www.hamienet.com/upload/27439--LEAF%20MD%20-Midstyler.mid

That's a direct temporary link; I'll post a new one when it gets validated and accepted in the database.
Just please try listening to it...it's just 40 KB too =) I just want as much help or advice as I can get when it comes to making songs, because I know it'll help me not only now, but way in the future. Thanks if you do listen to it ^^

...oh damn  :( You beat me to it...like, two years x_x

Because of my bad internet, it can't even stream. Wtf, srsly. I'll make sure to listen to this on a PC with faster internet though. I wanna hear it =D

But still, any comments or whatever about my cover? =/

EDIT:
MIDI? Are you sure? These sound like pure NES sounds =D I wish I knew how to do that though ^^ Great twist to the cover btw.

hehe yeah, i used an old MIDI on sidstyler and ran it trough a "nesifyer program" wich makes MIDI-files sounds like they are being played on a NES. It is called Gashisoft,
