Hiyee. I have a few music "projects" which are songs I've written for games.. thing is they're mostly MIDI because I have no better means of production, and mostly short, and not heavy style like a lot of what's here. Is this okay for posting?

Nice chugging, H. One thing I'd do is change up the drum beat over the part that goes 3/4 for a few seconds, maybe put a 2/4 beat behind that. Which is not to say that what you did was "wrong", it's just a tastes thing, makes the guitar feel like it's going off the beaten... beat.

Ok i am thinking of making a huge drum 'n' bass track for when riding in the car, i have asked a few friends who i know are in the business and they say they use trackers, has anyone used these before and are they very complicated to get use to?
From my experience, if you can visualise how drums will sound just from the tracker data, which is really not that different from sequencing MIDI, they're not that hard. But I'm not the guy to ask for help with that. :-X

I've got a couple of websites going.  One is for my project studio that I run.  The other is for my solo project.

I've used them for years. It's quite a steep learning curve initially, but once you "get it", it'll feel a lot more natural than MIDI sequencers. When it comes to trackers though, the interface is everything, so make sure you try several ones to see which one you get along best with.

Fucking (not on topic) postings

i am trying out some free ones atm the ru, so far i have tried Buzz Machine and Renoise, Renoise is pretty good but only demo, you say it becomes as natural as a midi sequence, but it seems there is a huge database of sound compared to a normal midi program :D
But if one day we meet together while I'm drunk, I promise you to draw a big group sex picture including a lot of forumites. :D

Well, since you can use any samples you want, the "sound database" is actually unlimited.  :)

The greatest problem with MIDI is that you need a lot of hardware (well, you could also use software, of course) to be able do anything useful with it. The built-in 128-instrument (that all sound the same anyway) synthesis on most soundcards is often... crude, to say the least.  :-\

The irony, however, is that (unless you record all your samples yourself) you'll probably end up using the same sounds as everyone else anyway, as most instrument samples are just standard patches recorded off the most common and popular synths.  8)

Hm, The intro sounds cool, but the song is a loot of repeating.

Also, there's a beep right when the drums come in at the intro on the HQ version.

Sounds cool though ! :)

I'm going to record a new song today as well, i think..

Well, blame Kreator for making such a repetative song :P. It's more interesting when the vocal are added.

But I'm not going to make you suffer by making your ears bleed from my horrible singing :P

Also, there's a beep right when the drums come in at the intro on the HQ version.

@_o;; Where??? I don't hear anything.

If you mean that tiny tiny TINY squeak of a beep, that was me attempting to cut out the count-in of the highhat. Do ignore that please ^_^;;

Glad you liked it tho man :)

As soon as you get your song recorded/uploaded, I'll check it out.

Mmm... That's not bad! :)

Haha thanks bro ^_^. **thumbs up**
