Celtic and some metal

Guitars are recorded live, the rest is tracked.
About the title : it's the tragical story of nices little imps who sing and dance, having a beer, having fun, then, suddendly, an ogre kill'em all, while sitting on the hill where they were.

But do not search any link between the title and the music. :p

As promised here is the finished piece of my music coursework, i haven't added any drums because this piece is marked heavily on the story the music tells so 99% of the time was devoted to melodies and creating the correct sounds to make it feel like a whole rainbow of emotion, nothing sad though because emo = sucks

http://nothing.1g.fi/Caduceus/RPG%20Coursework%20Final(I%20think).rar

EDIT: If ANY part of this piece sounds familiar please tell me straight away, i know too many people who have been accused of copying from real songs on their music coursework and i don't want to be one of them

A bit progressive and odd track has been made for your pleasures. I especially love the solo part where it gets fast. No mushrooms were harmed during making of this track. :)

@greasemonkey:

looks like something you might find in the dictionary under 'boring metal riffs'

@gazus:

the accordion plays some neat melodies, but the guitars aren't too interesting. somewhere around 1:35 it gets slightly better but soon falls back to the grey mass of sound. too much repetition, and the accordion starts to get on my nerves near the end. needs seriously vocals or something.

@iikori:

nicey, neato songie. the synth sound is cool, almost like back in the old days.
some mixing issues though, the guitars & drums are lost in the background because the
sids seem to crush everything beneath them. way too much high-end.

the synth solo reminds me of children of bodom. and i fucking loathe children of bodom, heh.

@rivasz:

played by a real orchestra, this would sound awesome. now, i just cringe at the plastic-wrapped sounds and try to enjoy the melodies.

piano ex machina, up 'n down 2 chords, dum di dum. utterly unimaginative, but combined with the flutes and strings it's not too bad.

Listened to 'World' also. Good track, like the melody. My only critisism would be that i find the sid sounds are too distorted. Dont get me wrong #, i think they sound good distorted, but i think they are a bit too much, the sound clips.

Good stuff tho, keep it up . :-)
