Hoy.

Small shit I made tonight, unmixed, unarranged, repetitive as the title says.
Protools and Guitar Rig 2, recorded at low volume (because of the neighbours - and the girlfriend sleeping not so far from the living room -), Superior Drummer for the drums and no nails on my finger (which is painfull while playing guitar... which is totally off tempo... I couldn't put the click too loud enough... grmbl).

Niccho > Your "Untitleder" song is pretty froacking great. i'm just not fond of the drums sound (aah, EZDrummer and the DFH Add-On... especially its snare).


Mmmmh, gotta go back to Logic for now.

Click is God. I never record without it, unless I intend to record out of time :(

Could use a bit more post-processing, sounds slightly muddy. But an interesting repetitive loop nonetheless, I think it needs better sound shapes to bring out it's cool-ness.


EDIT: I listened to it again, and I really enjoy the climax to it. I think the BD could be a floor tom though. And the hit into the grungy metal sound is excellent. Maybe some verb on those guitars at the start, and a less muddy sound for the strumming in the intro. But I like it, it's grown on me after 2 listens already :D! And the epic re-intro of the guitar melody in the second half is flawless! I wish I was an alien fighting viking right now, I'd be axing to this piece.

Okay, complete "serious" stuff there.

Techtools : Some kind of Progressive Minimal Techno only made with sounds created with the Signal Generator from Protools. Every edit, cut, etc, was made with Protools. Every sounds you hear is made of a sine wave, a saw wave, a white noise or a pink noise. Mixed with the native plugs from Protools.

INDOMIXMASTER : A trip-hop/drill/dub/lullaby remix of a french band (Indochine). The only material from the original piece are the vocals, which have been pitched/cut/edited/raped/looped/whatever. The rest of the sounds are samples. No virtual instruments (which means : you wanna some melody ? I HAS A PITCH !).

NIN1REMIXROUGHPREVIEW1 : Unfinished remix started today of "Me, I'm Not" by Nine Inch Nails. Few samples come from the original (vocals, some hats, "guitars" and the bassline") and are once again decapitedited/blah/etc. Unbalanced and unmixed. WARNING, this track contains clicks.

The instruments in the intro are piano (with some delay) and guitar. The guitar sound is actually a slightly modified "overworld clean2007" from the MaSu Gearbox presets, yay.
