Cool workings man, only thing is the synth is maybe overpowered by the guitar at times, some levelling works and it should be a fine piece indeed, and im not gonna bother commenting about the drums because on here it should NOW be realised (message to all of you others reading) the drums aren't ultra important when in the foundational phase of making tracks at home, if youre making good material, itll come together when youre professionally laying the tracks down in the recording studio.

Eh? Im right, i think O_o

Thx first :)

Yeah, that shouldn't be too hard at last. But I'll fix that after adding the vocals, would just be one step too much. According to my modest experiences it's the synths, the guitar AND the vocals biting each other in the heights. So I'm looking forward to it.
But I didn' completely get what you meant for the drums. Actually I thought them to be the final ones, no need for rolls or complex fills in my style of sound, i reckon.
Or did you mean that a too lazy sounding loop can perfectly do it's job in the final mix?

Greets,

Mattes

EDIT: Should add that we're not going to hit the studio by anytime. As well as we do not aim for live-gigs. It's just two of us and we want to get best results of a hobby-product. Maybe getting a few discs pressed one day, placing a local club hit. would be fine at all  ;)

The sound of the drums just sounded less rock/metal than the song, which kicked dick :)

And you would -
Replace the samples?
Arrange them more complex?
Or both?
Don't get me wrong, they work fine for me. Look at that early NIN Stuff - They had so dumbfuck primitive drumloops that it would hurt you mental to hear them solo. But in combo...
But I'll give anything a try. Just don't want to sound too metal. It has to keep a cold, electronic flair. Just to think of it the only ones coming to my mind getting that result with complex drumkits are the Deathstars. Love that stuff :)

Thx a lot guys  ;D
I'm fiddling around just this moment with that goddamn guitarport thingy. We were pretty happy with the result for diabolus ex machina, wich is just the guitar without any preamp through guitarfx(software) and then filtered to it's actual shape in fruity loops. but when robert tol me that THEY do their stuff with guitarport, this could improve it pretty much. but the presets are fuckin us right  >:(
Damn it, I get the sounds basically good, but once they sound way to dump, the other time (when I do not use any cabinets) I seem to loose a lot of frequencies. what makes it sound like a crappy guitarsynth-plugin.
I guess we just need to stay tuned. just wanted to tell somebody. thanks.
