There are many movies where they dub or sub movies/tv-series made in english language in USA. I think it's pretty much same as they would dub or sub finnish movies where actors speak one of our dialects, let's say savo

I think it's quite hilarious 'cause even I can understand what is said and I'm not native in english! Well, subs are marginally excusable 'cause some of us have hard time of hearing (deaf cannot hear at all, for example).

Anyway, I've seen that dubbed Mad Max and it's really sad case. I totally agree with Vanti here...

I think it's a matter of being familiar with the language.

Nope. I hate most all Icelandic dubs. (Some Disney movies are good, though. Aladdin, for instance, was considered examplary by Disney itself, surpassing the original.)

The samples in Timeline are from the Witchblade tv series...

The background chatter in Apocalyptica is recorded from the actual N.Y.Police radio on 9/11.

The woman saying Kung Fu Bouff in the beginning of Sidology 3 is the same as counting down her own theme song 'Bouff', Emily Booth.

The cryosleep samples are from Pitch Black and Ghost in The Shell.

so... has anybody a transcription of said samples(Witchblade/Pitch Black/GitS etc.)? Please?

Btw... i checked IMDb, and "Virus" from 1999 has 4.2 out of 10.... not a very good movie probably... but i will check it out.

I think it rules!  ;D

Gotta love b-movies. Just like me and other million geeks.

so... has anybody a transcription of said samples(Witchblade/Pitch Black/GitS etc.)? Please?

I typed them up a long time ago with some help from Google:

Cryosleep

They say most of your brain shuts down in cryosleep. All but the primiative side, the animal side. No wonder I'm still awake.
(see Pitch Black Transcript)

To humans it is like staring at the sun, a blinding brightness that conceals a source of great power.
(see Excerpts from "Ghost in the shell")

Timeline

The idea of reincarnation comes from a natural sense that there is more to this world than we can taste or touch. Unfortunately, it misses the main point. Time.

You think of time as if it were a straight line, like a road or a train track, with the past at one end and the future at the other. The metaphor is seductive, but it's highly misleading. The world was flat until we discovered it was round.
(see Witchblade Transcripts, Episode 1.7: "Periculum")

You know, I used to think that time was linear, like a string. Maybe time isn't that way. You know, maybe each moment lasts forever and it's only our perception that streams them together. [...] Any time you want.
(see Witchblade Transcripts, Episode 1.8: "Thanatopsis")

I never did find ones for Origin, though.

Erica Oberg. Lead singer of Inja, and partner of Kahl, I believe.

She's in the credits in the album where it says: "All songs composed, written and performed by MACHINAE SUPREMACY with Erica Oberg
