This is my first post on these forums, so first I'd like to say hello to you all. =)
I have recently discovered the music of Machinae Supremacy and I absolutely love it; especially the Giana Sisters remix (nostalgia all the way!), Arcade and Sidstyler. I have great respect for the band for their musical talents: Great harmonies, vocals and arrangements!
Being an amateur guitarist (mostly metal, some classical music) as well as a game lover, I have tried to play some of the Doom and Doom2 background music tracks. At least two of them seem to have been inspired by Slayer but many others are playable on the guitar and sound very good and heavy. Thus I have wondered what Machinae Supremacy would think about making some remixes of the Doom/Doom2 backgrounds.
Personally I like e1m1, e2m1, d1readme, d1end, d2map1, d2map2, d2map7, d2map9, d1readme, d2readme and d1intermission (among a few others). These are the names of the midi-files I got off the web.
I have been trying to play these "songs" for quite some time but to be honest I have crappy equipment and I am not at all the best guitar player out there.
But from what I have heard from Machinae Supremacy, they seem to have excellent equipment and skills! Very fitting to make songs based on those game-tunes!
Well, I just wanted to share my love to the Doom-series' music. But also I would be very happy if someone could tell me what the band thinks about making songs based on the Doom music in the future! I recognize that some of the band seem to like rock/metal - well there is some hard n' heavy stuff waiting to be reincarnated by a talented band like you! =)))
