Well, yeah.

Of course the album isn't exactly subtle in it's expressed emotions. Considering 7 of the singers are supposed to be personifications of human emotions, I wouldn't expect them to be subtle. It would be different if these were fearful characters, rather than one's fear in itself, doing the singing. And in that I think most of the singers are on the mark.

While I realize that this approach might not suit everybody, it hit a chord with me, it has kind of this theatrical approach to the album. It's kind of a Metal Musical in fact,... Maybe I'm influenced by the fact a dear friend of mine is heavily involved in musicals, but I love it.

You mean like The Wall, Tommy, Kilroy Was Here, and God in Three Persons?

Well, it's Progressive Metal without a doubt, so in that sense yes, it could be compared to the Wall. The difference would be in the larger array of caracters and the presence of Heavier riffs... as well as more modern mixing. But my roommate did actually ask me, "What is this, Pink Floyd?" during one of the passages.

But it tells a story, every song is sequent to it's predecessor.

Hmm, I'll definitely have to buy it now, if it sounds like Pink Floyd :)
