What does Sweden have to do with goth music O.o

Anyway, I was listening to either Cryosleep or Anthem Apocalyptica, and my dad walked in.

Dad: "What band is this?"
Me: "Machinae Supremacy"
Dad: "Too many syllables."

Well, now that I think about it... here's a breakdown of my dad's  (and mine) favorite bands:

Pink Floyd - 2 syllables
Queen - 1 syllable
The Doors - 2 syllables

Now, Machinae Supremacy is 7 syllables.

Well, if you pronounce it wrong, like I do, and add an a-sound as well, you're up in 8.

Anyway, Smeagol, which band is this favourite band of these people, then?

EDIT: Hmmm...I can't count. I just assumed that the 7-syllable was in the right pronounciation. Must remember to check such stuff next time....

Most of these people are dumb, either some crappy emo band (yeh, from Sweden ::)) or some rap artist (ditto)

But most of them are exceedingly stupid and would probably believe me ;D

Now, Machinae Supremacy is 7 syllables.

That's what I thought for a while...  Apparently the band pronounces it the same as "Machine," so that would make it 6 syllables.  Most people I know still pronounce it "Mock - in - ah" though.

Yeh, I find it exceedingly hard to break a pronunciation habit, and I pronounce "machinae" as mock-in-eye. It's always been that way, gonna be that way for a looooooong time.
