Hmmm... The catguy scared me a bit :P I've thought of having a tatoo of tabby prints on my torso and upper legs and upper arms, so that I could still cover up for work etc.
I also want to work on a pair of realistic cat ears that both cover up my own ears, and look very catgirl-esque.

Laser: Your art was really good :) As I said, you've really got the hang of the poses and clothing. Makes me wish I'd brought up my art pad to uni :(

You haven't seen "The barbie project" have you?  Rather disgustingly sad when an attractive woman literally decides she wants enough plastic surgery to look like a barbie doll.

The sad thing is that she got a husband shortly after the project was finished...
Did he look anything like Ken? (I think thats the name, I don't play with barbies, I swear :P)

Oooh, almost forgot:

I did a sketch of a "chibi" version of my fursona.

It's a mix of me, a catgirl and Ukyo from Ranma 1/2.
I'm really proud of this one :)

PvP is running a story arc that just happens to relate to this:

No, but someone was doing a "Ken project" Inspired by her...

I wouldn't want to be Ken, personally.  He never had genetalia...

And as to the art, very adorable.

Quote
Furs are people who have a strong affinity with their animal side. That's a broad generalisation.

Basically, in the area I know about, they are people with an overactive interest in anthropomorphic animalia - i.e. humans that have features of animals. Take a human, cover it in fur, give it a muzzle, animal ears and eyes and sometimes paws and always give it a tail - and you have a furry.

It is often expressed in a sexual way and there is a lot of furry art available: a lot sexual, a lot not. There are many artists - some better than others... and some specialise in characters from Disney (think Robin Hood) or Sonic or even Digimon/Pokemon.

The furry community tends to consist almost wholly of (male) gays. I really do not understand why this is, being as the route I took into it was not gay in the slightest...

But when Furs meet they tend to just hang around in a very large group and split off from each other after a while - like anybody would.

There are some aspects of furry that I feel I souldn't go into, but I should mention the Fursuiting. Furs wish to actually be a furry themselves. Like wishing you had breasts, they wish they had a tail and dog ears (and sometimes breasts too...) Now, imagine going to a theme park and seeing a guy in, say, a wolf costume, handing out flyers. Right? Now give that wolf a real fur covering and imagine that the man insisde hasn't been given this suit and is only wearing to get paid at the end of the day. Instead he's bought it for a few hundred quid and is wearing it just because.

That was my answer in the thread from which this thread split from.

If I get my hands on a scanner I'll be putting all my stuff straight on deviantart... If...

As I said before, that's a somewhat skewed view of what furry is (IMHO, of course.)

Yes, the most aggravating thing about the public portrayal of furs (Gay fursuit orgies!)  is that I can't deny that it's a part of "the fandom."

However, it's not the majority of it.  For every yiffstar (Yiff being a furry term that means, roughly, the same as "Fuck." (again in my opinion)  There's a Yerf.. (nothing above a G rating in that archive.)

For every Tapestries (A BDSM themed furry muck)  There's a Furry Muck (Where they discourage public TS.)

Every group has thier fringes.  EVERY group.  For every person who occasionally dresses up for halloween as a vulcan, there's one who tries to raise his child speaking Klingon.  Or writes kirk/Spock homoerotic fan fic.

The thing is, if you look online you'll find a lot of the more "Deviant" behaviors.  After all, it's just makebeleive and nobody really gets hurt, right?

Yeah, when I said "Furs are people who have a strong affinity with their animal side. That's a broad generalisation." and "Basically, in the area I know about," I really meant it.

The image I portrayed was the one that I have been in most contact in, that is what is going on when you see a bunch of people in fursuits and goth clothes with kitty-ears and tails walking in a huge group around town. But for me personally Fur is a bit more about being an actual animal.

Like I said at some point before, I'm a great animal lover and the reason I'm a fur is because I'm kinda jealous of, say, the black cat that sleeps in the sun on the roof of my garage just outside my window. No worries for him, he doesn't have to go to university, get a degree and go out into the world to get a job and money in order to avoid living in poverty and dying sooner than you should.

But of course, being a fur, I can't avoid the fact that I'm into some of that stuff. Just like you.

(Note, I need a credit card: I wanna get back into sexyfur)

Why pay for a look at drawn pictures of humanoid animals when you can download video's of real pr0n, or go out and get a gf?

or go out and get a gf?

Too much hassle + of course the fear of rejection (if it applies to anyone)

Besides it's not like you can just walk down a street and instantly get a girlfriend (unless they're VERY drunk); INSERT INTO yabbse_messages (ID_MSG, ID_TOPIC, ID_MEMBER, subject, posterName, posterEmail, posterTime, posterIP, smiliesEnabled, modifiedTime, modifiedName, body, icon, attachmentSize, attachmentFilename) VALUES it takes time and effort

:P

I think sexual drawings of furs and anime characters are better than real porn. Not because I'm not into seeing two hot naked girls get it on on a sofa.... but because it means that nobody was explouted in the process. They're are just images, they are not really being harmed or done out of a deal

And I do have a gf thankyou. She thinks I'm weird....

She must be very patient.: I'm an anime-otaku, a fur, get depressed a lot and have no energy to do anything. Any other girl would give up on me.
