Doing the same thing in an Uni room filled with people would be quite a lot harder, though, if I'm not wrong.

Still, really, what you're saying revolts me. I mean, who really plays a RP character named Laser Turret?  :) (yeah, that's the most revolting thing I could find in your post).

Yeah, I wouldn't write that now. There are about 7 people in the room. It's ok thou - none of them are interested to look.

And I hope that it doesn't revolt anybody. Can't imagine why?

It all really depends on which one of those personalities speaks for yourself, I guess.

I'm not sure there is just one. I'm not the same person to different people, and I'm aways talking to myself. Which is not good if any of my family hear me.

Actually, call me dim, but I can't imagine why that'd be revolting either x_x Maybe it really is that bad a morning :P

For me, there are lots of different aspects to my personality. The one that is loud and says unusual things that confuse my friends does not represent me ;D

Usually I'm more quieter and composed.

Talking to oneself can be dangerous and alienating towards others. I do it all of the time. I think I've been close to saying some rather stupid things in public, things that would probably get around quite fast and really push people away from me. The voices in my head can be quite strange at times.

I think before I speak, but the problem is that I think out loud...

And I do believe some would find your thoughts repelling. People aren't as openminded and nice as they should be. The word revolting might have been a bad choosing, though, and a bit stronger than what I'd express, but in that case you have to excuse my english as a second language skillz...I'm still not sure my wording was wrong, though...

And the Laser Turret thing was really some sort of strange inside joke (inside my head joke, probably). Being somewhat of a roleplayer myself, but leaning more towards realistic settings, that name just doesn't fit my version of RPGs....

There's always crossdressing, not quite as dramatic and reversable.  Trouble with me doing that is that I'd make one FUGLY girl.. :P

One of the things I've read about it mentioned start small.  Buy a woman's shirt.. or a woman's pair of pants.  Something that could be easily mistaken for a male's clothing...

The story is pretty agnsty, but it boils down to I think I would've been happier born a woman.
I've thought like that, but then I think...If I was a woman I'd probably think I'd be happier born as a guy. So I think I'll just stick to what I am. Either way, I always make the wrong choice and want the opposite.

Torp/Laser: I'll go for the girls in Starfleet uniform :P

oh hell yeh! that's true alright, done it enough times myself, it can be fairly scary how increbily thick and non sensitive people can be, then just a few seconds later come across completly differently, i find it pretty damn odd. Think about it, if, for example, you make your thoughts known on a particular subject (think of one of your own, i'm not gonna do it, and change it to your style of thinking....unless your magicman then don't :p) and someone else objects fairly strongly about 2-3 minutes later, maybe more depending on what the argument was about, they'll completly change their mind and act all friendly again, either, assuming they're desperate to keep a friendship, intelligent enough to persuade one to their thinking, or just very thick and don't know what else to do.

Can be quite a dangerous thing, methinks...

I really don't think what I said was any more extreme than what else has been said in this thread. I just reflected it in my own life.

I do'nt wish to wierd ppl out, though, and I half-consider deleting that so ppl cannot read it. Then they wo'nt know anything about me and I can hide in the shadows again.

PS. Yeah, I know Laser Turret a shitty RP name. But it stuck from when I first used it.

Already have done - but only because I buy off eBay and some seller can be very vague about their items - either on purpose or accidentally. Unisex - yeah, right.

Trouble with being a fur is that there are so many definitions.  There's an old saying "Ask ten furs what furry is, you'll get 12 different answers."

For me it is truely a religous thing.  I have Totemistic leanings, Bear is my totem animal.  (Well, one of em.  Sometimes I wish Coyote wasn't the other.)

For some people it's a game they play, for others it's a religion and for others (I'm afraid to say, but I got to be honest.) It's for things like what you see furry claimed on on TV.

I'm only one, but still I am one.  I can't do everything, but I can do something-

Furs are people who have a strong affinity with their animal side. That's a broad generalisation.

Basically, in the area I know about, they are people with an overactive interest in anthropomorphic animalia - i.e. humans that have features of animals. Take a human, cover it in fur, give it a muzzle, animal ears and eyes and sometimes paws and always give it a tail - and you have a furry.

It is often expressed in a sexual way and there is a lot of furry art available: a lot sexual, a lot not. There are many artists - some better than others... and some specialise in characters from Disney (think Robin Hood) or Sonic or even Digimon/Pokemon.

The furry community tends to consist almost wholly of (male) gays. I really do not understand why this is, being as the route I took into it was not gay in the slightest...

But when Furs meet they tend to just hang around in a very large group and split off from each other after a while - like anybody would.

There are some aspects of furry that I feel I souldn't go into, but I should mention the Fursuiting. Furs wish to actually be a furry themselves. Like wishing you had breasts, they wish they had a tail and dog ears (and sometimes breasts too...) Now, imagine going to a theme park and seeing a guy in, say, a wolf costume, handing out flyers. Right? Now give that wolf a real fur covering and imagine that the man insisde hasn't been given this suit and is only wearing to get paid at the end of the day. Instead he's bought it for a few hundred quid and is wearing it just because.

Is that any clearer?

People have probably already heard of this, but this is what i thought a furry was origionally. I wonder if this is what made people want to be "furry"?

No, Furcadia spawned out of the furry fandom. Furry has been around for years and years, Furcadia came out about 3 years ago (?). If you go on it you'll basically ffind lots of characters just facing each other, and cybering.

That was pretty clear... except for the last bit which confused the hell out of me, but I think I know what you were saying. Fursuiting always kinda intrigued me and I've looked into it a bit. I fucking love the stuff as a material but I'd rather something more realistic. You know, not like I was an animal or whatever, just a regular person who had their own fur  ??? Now I just confused myself.

Yeah, when they fursuit - they just wish that this fur was really theirs. They also do it to show off and say: "Look at my fur-suit, I spent ~so much~ on it. Be impressed."

Its just a guy in a suit of fur - tha'ts it.

I really want to explain what I mean, but I can't. I guess its one of those things you have to explain in real life. Its so frustrating >:(

I dunno, I'm probably gonna stick with bondage and girl-love. Everyone likes girl-love ;)
