I turn to you
« on: October 06, 2004, 10:05:02 pm »
Was flipping channels the other day when I seen a movie that had the song 'I Turn to You' on it, exact same lyrics except it sounded like it was sung by the Spice Girls or similar pop group.

Was 'I Turn to You' written by Machinae or by someone else?

Just curious...

to be honest, when i first heard it, i hated it. the other day, i was introducing MaSu to a friend and told them not to bother with that song, at least until they got used to robert's voice. Of couse, they downloaded it immedietly, as, by a freak of nature, they turned out to be one of mel C's only two fans (the other is mel C's mother) and they liked it. I've also decided i like it too, and have redownloaded it. ;D

Their looks outweigh their talent apparently.

I recently downloaded the rest of the songs from the site (I had only had the Sidologies, Sidstyler, Giana Sisters and the Anthem Apocalyptica and the last time I listened to some of the other stuff I didn’t like them) — and became a big fan of I Turn To You.

today I wanted to look at the lyrics, but it’s not on the site ::)

Robert’s voice in ITTY reminds me of that of Suede’s singer a bit.  Weird :P

i'm pretty sure that that song has been covered again by a few other artists. IIRC if i can recall correctly.

not that I know of, i actually dont mind the original either - at least mel c broke out of the pop girl band mode, unlike the other spice girls by releasin a dance tune and a rock tune (with bryan adams i think)

so uh...yeh machinae version still weeeeeeellll better :D
