EDIT: oh and i see you base the "new" times on Smeagol :p

It was from a thread not too long ago. People were trying to define between the old times and the new. Somebody said "pre-smeagol" and "Smeagol", Bateman said "Golden Age" and "Silver Age" although now we seem to have moved into "Bronze Age" to him now :-\

Closesly followed by the likes of chompy bearfoot deghar etc with everyone else jsut dropping in now and again - theres waay more people about now i think, tho theres something like 300 more members since i joined

Being of the old era, I am inclined to say, yes, the old era. So, I say it, and it is so. My word is law.

Sure, there was insanity in the old times, but it was insanity with substance. There still is, but there's also a lot of non-substance insanity.

Now, this forum is turning more and more towards what I like to call "VGD-Backstage"-trend (this seems not to be a product of the Smeagol-age, but has come even later, in the last few weeks or so, maybe (just looking at the board history)). Lot's of threads, none with much point. It hasn't developed that far yet, and I do hope it won't. Because, well, there are some rather nice people in here, and some rather interesting threads as well. Insanity is good...

I liked those old, long threads of Gravehills. They had subsance, they had...well, they had Gravehill.

I think I'm one of the few old ones still in here (along with others of course). But you wouldn't think so because of my post count. I've only really posted 'alot' withen the past few months. I just sort of spoke once and awhile 'back in the day'

for me I will have to lean more towards the new era. Even though the threads are getting more crazy and whore like, I know more of the people now than then.

by reading old posts i think im wenjoying the new era, im not voting though cuz i wasnt there to experience it. but from wut ive read it seemed liek all of the threads were like ya masu rox lets get merch and so on, now we all no that masu rox so it is rarely talked abotu thus defeating the purpose of a forum exccept to meet peopel and this forum does a fuckin ace job!

Different strokes for different blokes, we can debate this all day. bottom line is machiane are getting more and more popular.. more people gonna hear aout them.. more people gonna join the forum.. you can only expect that.. saying you want the old times is like saying you want to make then unpopular.. and i know you dont want that now do you.

I know i dont =) Old times were very insightful.. but we dont just come here to slam down paragraph streams of convos PER post.. we come to enjoy each others company and have a bit of crack, interaction whether minimal or maximised in full blooded bible vs bible length posts.. it comes from time to time.. the variation now is better than then.. yeah theres more crap and random ness and humour with "less substance" sorry.. that just doesnt click in my head.. because to me this is humour.. the word substance doesnt come into it.. but i know what you mean, you just dont find us funny. lol =)

Its all good though, but i think this thread should be locked and left to die. Times a rollin on.. watched young guns last nite first time ever.. very good. They rolled alot.. so if young guns can move on from the past i think we can.
